Dr. Suzanne, a New Jersey native, is a chiropractor, wife to a chiropractor, mom to three active young adult/teenagers, and is very passionate about living a healthy lifestyle in tune with how we were designed to live on this planet.
She had an injury that caused a disc herniation injury in 1995 from powerlifting while on the rowing team at Rutgers University. This low back injury was how she was first introduced to chiropractic. This experience sent her down the path to become a chiropractor herself. She attended Life University in Marietta, Georgia where she met her Canadian husband, Dr. Jared.
Despite her healthy, active lifestyle and regular chiropractic care, she would still experience debilitating back pain flare ups where she could not do anything for weeks at a time. This pattern continued on for decades. The last flare up that she had was in the spring 2020 and left her unable to work for months.
Her MRI showed that she now had multiple bulging/herniated discs (which is often what happens over time after you have one disc injury). She thought this was her new life sentence: dealing with bouts of severe back pain, just waiting for the next “wrong move” to cause a terrible flare up of pain. That is until Dr. Suzanne met Dr. Mark Jagger, the creator of the Spine Specialist – a Robotic Class 4 Laser Spinal Decompression table, at a mastermind event in Calgary the fall of 2020. When she learned of this new technology, she knew she had to have it.
Dr. Suzanne obtained the license for the Robotic Class 4 Laser Spinal Decompression table in Winnipeg and started seeing patients in Spring of 2021. She and her patients were experiencing great results, even patients like Dr. Suzanne herself, who have been suffering from back pain flare ups for decades. The Laser Spinal Decompression clinic grew so rapidly that her husband, Dr. Jared Buffie, also joined the practice. Most of their patients have been everywhere and tried everything without any lasting relief. Many of these patients (including Dr. Suzanne & Dr. Jared) are finally finding lasting relief with Laser Spinal Decompression. Dr. Suzanne is so passionate about how Laser Spinal Decompression can help chronic pain sufferers that she helped bring this new technology to the US by opening a second Laser Spinal Decompression clinic in Mesa, Arizona in 2022.
When she is not busy taking care of patients, Dr. Suzanne enjoys spending time outside in nature, staying active with lifting weights and Brazilian jiu jitsu, expanding her knowledge on health and watching her kids play sports.
