Hydrowave uses magneto-hydraulic technology to generate focused acoustic shockwaves delivered to a targeted treatment area. Focused shockwave therapy is used to help manage pain and improve function in selected musculoskeletal conditions. Research suggests it may influence local circulation, inflammatory signalling and tissue-repair processes.

  • Knee and hip osteoarthritis and chronic joint pain
  • Rotator cuff conditions and frozen shoulder
  • Tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Chronic tendon injuries and sports injuries
  • Chronic headaches and neck muscle tension

Hydrowave Focused Shockwave Therapy:
What Results Can I Expect?

Treatment Goals: Less Pain, Better Mobility and Everyday Function

What Kind of Improvement Should I Expect?

Treatment goals include reduced pain, improved mobility and better everyday function. Some patients respond sooner than others, and outcomes vary. Hydrowave is not promised to reverse arthritis, repair herniated discs or prevent surgery.

When Will I Start Feeling Results?

Some patients respond sooner than others. The timing and extent of improvement vary with the condition, symptom duration and individual response.

How Many Hydrowave Treatments Will I Need?

Treatment recommendations depend on your condition, symptom duration and response to care. For chronic conditions, we typically recommend 10–12 sessions. Acute injuries may require approximately 4–6 sessions. Progress is monitored throughout care, and recommendations are individualized.

How Will My Progress Be Reviewed?

We monitor pain, mobility and everyday function throughout care. Recommendations are adjusted to your progress, and further assessment or other care may be recommended if symptoms persist or worsen.

The need for follow-up sessions is assessed individually; ongoing treatment is not automatically required or a guarantee of lasting improvement.
